A “Strategic Analysis for International Participants” program was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). It was held from 20 July 2016 to 5 August 2016 for mid-career diplomats whose tasks and functions are related to diplomacy, crisis management, security and international relations. ACC was engaged to conduct a workshop on “Strategic and Innovative Thinking”. This formed a foundation for other modules related to strategic thinking which is core to diplomats in ensuring long-term success in the economic, political, social and diplomatic arena. Participants came from 18 different countries. During the workshop, participants were involved in various activities, and were exposed to case studies that helped them examine their own strengths and weaknesses towards developing and building the versatility and dexterity needed to meet the challenges of a globalised environment. This included a segment on the InnovAsian®Mindset, which introduced them to various philosophies that are useful when developing solutions in a resource constrained environment.
