BLENDING TOMORROW’S INNOVATION VINTAGEOrganised by ISPIM, and supported by ANI – Agência Nacional de Inovação (the National Innovation Office of Portugal), this event is for innovation researchers, industry executives, thought leaders and policy makers to:

• Get feedback, get published and share understanding
• Deep dive into the Portuguese innovation scene

Alpha Catalyst was invited to run a discussion on ‘Digitizing innovation management – is there real value?’. This was very apt as many organisations have begun exploring digital tools to enhance employee engagement while containing more ideas and solutions from the masses. Key areas which were discussed revolved around the level of complexity (or otherwise) in reference to the system used. Some participants also shared impact stories they had of using such systems in the own organisation.
Alpha Catalyst also conducted a workshop during the corse of the conference, titled ‘ Strategies to engage employees to innovate’. This explored strategies that organisational leaders need to put in place to catalyse innovation within the company,  particularly using digital initiatives. We shared some of the strategies which have been implemented in client organisations while the participants also shared theirs. Others, who have yet to use a system, also learnt the do’s and don’t when implementing one!
All in all, the workshop was a huge success with participants raving a positive review.
