Regulatory Framework for Online Healthcare Services
ACC created the regulatory framework for private online healthcare services in the country for MOH.

The project also included developing parameters for setting up a Regulatory Lab, including its monitoring parameters, digital requirements and possible partners. The regulatory lab was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rozita, Director of the Planning Division, MOH, in August 2022. This programme represents one of the key turning points in redesigning our nation's healthcare regulations to be forward-thinking, flexible, and open to new and emerging technology.
The project scope included:
- Identification of current challenges for the project
- An in-depth analysis and review of all Acts and Regulations which affect the online healthcare service providers to identify particular clauses which need amendments.
- Stakeholders identification and engagement
- Country benchmarking
- Regulatory Lab benchmarking
- Creation of an implementation plan and roadmap including resource identification (financial and talent capability and number of manpower estimated)
- Preliminary regulatory impact analysis
